Geotechnical Engineering Group
  • About the Specialized Group

The Geotechnical Engineering program includes courses, seminars, laboratories, and projects across various sub-disciplines, such as soil mechanics, rock mechanics, foundation engineering, earth dams, tunnels and underground spaces, environmental geotechnics, earthquake geotechnical engineering, energy geotechnics, petroleum geomechanics, bio-geotechnics, and natural geohazards. This program is designed to provide students with in-depth knowledge in geotechnical engineering, along with the experimental and field experience needed to join the ever-evolving engineering market. The program can also prepare interested applicants for pursuing advanced academic studies at a very high level.
