Duties and Contact Information

 

This office is located on the third floor of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Room 306. Ms. Shoushtari and Ms. Mehrabi are in charge of this office and operate under the supervision of the Vice Dean for Education. The main duties of this office include:  

Duties of Ms. Mehrabi:
• Handling matters related to the part-time instructors for each semester and summer term, and following up on any issues until they are resolved.
• Managing the processes of credit transfer and student graduation.
• Overseeing all matters concerning teaching assistants and their part-time teaching duties for each semester.
• Coordinating with academic advisors and making necessary arrangements.
• Summoning students for educational matters and announcements.
• Following up on issues related to grade submissions.
• Managing the evaluation process of instructors each semester.
• Staying informed about educational regulations and following up on special cases.
• Collaborating with the Student Affairs Office (monitoring academic performance each semester, overseeing internships, and following up on Student Affairs Office correspondence).
• Addressing and guiding students through their educational issues until they are resolved.
• Handling tasks related to non-exam-based graduate students each year.
• Creating an archive for graduates.
• Disseminating educational announcements and other notices requested by instructors to undergraduate students.

Duties of Ms. Shoushtari:
• Planning and scheduling courses, exams, and classes for each semester, including undergraduate, master's, and doctoral courses, and coordinating related matters with the Education Office and relevant departments.
• Coordinating with department heads to organize undergraduate and master's courses.
• Entering course information for each semester into the educational system.
• Reviewing and resolving student registration issues for each semester until resolved.
• Managing tasks related to the maximum allowable credits per semester.
• Handling issues related to prerequisite and corequisite violations each semester.
• Managing tasks related to undergraduate projects each semester.
• Addressing and guiding students through their educational issues until they are resolved.
• Participating in the Faculty Education Council meetings.
• Preparing and submitting required information and statistics to the Vice Dean for Education or the Education Office.
• Preparing educational performance reports.
• Staying informed about educational regulations and following up on special cases.
• Creating educational files for undergraduate students and archiving relevant documents.

​​​​​​​It is worth mentioning that when one of the educational officers is absent, the other officer performs their duties.
