❇️ The International Environmental Modeling and Software Society (iEMSs) announced in its latest report that the 2024 Young Outstanding Researcher Award has been granted to Dr. Seyed Razi Sheikh-Oslami, Assistant Professor in the Department of Water and Environmental Engineering at the Faculty of Civil Engineering.
🔸 This award was presented this year at Michigan State University during the 12th Biennial International iEMSs Congress, in recognition of Dr. Sheikh-Oslami's outstanding contribution to advancing knowledge in environmental modeling and promoting a sustainable future through a comprehensive understanding of complex systems.
🔸 This is not the first time Dr. Sheikh-Oslami has received an award from this society. In 2021, he also received two "Most Cited Paper" awards for two articles published in the journal Environmental Modelling and Software, along with the "Outstanding Reviewer" award from the society.
🔸 The goal of the iEMSs society is to develop and utilize numerical modeling tools and software frameworks aimed at improving decision-making in global environmental issues and enhancing the interaction of researchers in this field. Since 2004, the society has been awarding the Young Outstanding Researcher award to its distinguished members during its biennial conference.
