The following experiments can be conducted in the Strong Floor Laboratory of the Faculty of Civil Engineering:
Column Tests;
Axially loaded columns, laterally loaded columns, and columns under combined loading (axial and lateral simultaneously).
Beam Tests;
Bending of beams, shear behavior, fatigue, and failure of beams.
Connection Tests;
Metal connections, concrete connections (e.g., rebar splices, rebar anchorage, column base plates), and composite or hybrid connections.
Slab and Panel Tests;
Concentrated or distributed loading on slabs, deflection, cracking, and failure assessment, behavior of precast or reinforced panels.
Wall Tests;
Masonry, concrete, or composite walls under lateral (quasi-seismic) loads, shear and non-shear walls, reinforced walls (FRP or steel).
Scaled Frame Tests;
Behavior of steel or concrete frames under static and dynamic forces, seismic or cyclic testing of frames.
Bridge and Building Component Tests;
Beams or decks of bridges, columns, supports, and connections of bridges, various structural components of buildings at full or model scale.
Special Roof Tests;
Lightweight, prestressed, or arch roofs, including seismic behavior and deflection.
Performance of Strengthened Structures;
Evaluation of strengthening methods using FRP, steel, or innovative materials; comparison of behavior before and after strengthening.
Other Special Structures and Members;
Wooden or brick structures, composite structures (metal-concrete or FRP-concrete), and special research or experimental samples under unique loading conditions.
