The tests that can be performed in the Concrete and Building Materials Laboratory of the Civil Engineering Department are as follows:

Physical and mechanical properties tests of building materials (such as lime, gypsum, cement, gravel, and sand)

Compressive, flexural, and tensile strength tests of concrete specimens
(cube, cylinder, and small beams)

Slump test and workability assessment of fresh concrete

Determination of specific gravity, water absorption, and porosity of materials

Los Angeles abrasion test for aggregates

Air content measurement of concrete

Electrical resistivity and crack detection of concrete using non-destructive methods
(ultrasonic testing)

Vicat test for determining the setting
time of cement

Autoclave and cement expansion tests

Special research tests on small and large structural elements under various
loading conditions

Core drilling and examination of hardened concrete samples
