Laboratory Introduction

The Green GeoTechnology Laboratory was established and developed with the aim of understanding the behavior of soil environments in combination with biological elements such as plants and bacteria. The goal is to make the first efforts in Iran to effectively utilize the contribution of environmentally compatible biological elements for the removal of pollutants, stabilization of surface failures, and stabilization of foundations susceptible to water and wind erosion.

In this laboratory, soil hydromechanical properties, such as multiphase flow characteristics under homogeneous and heterogeneous conditions, saturated and unsaturated consolidation, and the instability of slopes with and without vegetation cover, can be measured through physical modeling equipped with a rainfall simulator and used as a basis for optimized analysis and design.

​​​​​​​The activities of this laboratory focus on solving problems in mining, petroleum, and environmental industries, and it is also prepared to accept orders and perform tests within the country's centralized laboratory network.
