Advanced Hydraulics Laboratory

The Advanced Hydraulics Laboratory operates with the aim of conducting specialized research in the field of hydraulic engineering, physical modeling of hydrodynamic phenomena, and the investigation of transport and dispersion processes in aquatic environments. The laboratory’s equipment is primarily used by graduate students for carrying out theses and research projects. The main research areas of this laboratory include the study of regular and irregular waves, exchange flows, selective withdrawal from reservoirs, sediment transport, pollutant dispersion, and scouring.
